Our award winning Barnsley Bitter is brewed using the finest quality Maris Otter malt and English hops.  Chestnut in colour, having a well rounded, rich flavour, it retains a lasting bitter finish.  Brewed using yeast strains used in the 1850's to brew 'Barnsley Bitter'.  3.8% ABV.  (Always available).  Acorn Brewery Barnsley Bitter has won a Silver Award in it's class at the Great British Beer Festival 2006.

 
  This award winning golden beer has good bitterness levels, with a fresh citrus and hop aroma.  4.3% ABV

   A full bodied victorian style porter with hints of liquorice.  The initial bitterness gives way to a smooth, mellow finish.  4.4% ABV

  A blend of Dark Crystal and Maris Otter malts give this beer a reddish tinge.  The Bramling Cross hops gives good bitterness with a fruity/citrus aroma.  4.1% ABV.

Easter Special
 
  Well hopped strong bitter with a pale straw colour.  Bitterness predominates, with a late addition of Crystal hops giving delicate flavours with a hint of tangerine.  4.8%  
 

Brewed in support of England's quest for glory at the World Cup.  English roast malts and hops give this ale a light copper colour, with well balanced bitterness, mellow hop aroma and slightly sweet malt on the palate.  4.2%.  Brewing again in 2008 for European Championships! (with a bit of luck!) 
              

 
  Very pale in colour and brewed using 100% lager malt.  German Perle hops for bitterness and Czech Saaz hops for the aroma give a balanced refreshing ale with an earthy aroma.  5.0%  
  Named after the Ukrainian twin town of Barnsley, this brew is a deep ebony coloured imperial stout with bags of malt, spicy hop bitterness and a fruity dry finale. 6.0% ABV.

  Brewed using New Zealand Green Bullet hops and dark crystal malt, this light amber ale has excellent aroma, bitterness and a pine/lemon crispness.  4.6% ABV  
  Pale crystal maris otter give this blond ale slight malt flavours, combined with a worldwide selection of hops which give light bitterness and an array of aromas.  4% ABV.  
  CHRISTMAS SPECIAL

  Brewed using maris otter, pale rye malt and herald hops.  This session bitter has everything to bring on the festive cheer!  4.0% ABV.  
   Brewed for the Dickie Bird Foundation, a charity which helps disadvantaged young people to achieve their sporting goals. (A percentage of the profits are donated to the Foundation).  A pale amber coloured beer with well balanced bitterness, slight sweet malts and a hoppy finish with a hint of orange.  4.5% ABV.
