Acorn Brewery Barnsley Bitter wins a Silver Award at the Great British Beer Festival 2006, held at Earl's Court, London.

The award was in the bitters category.

Acorn Brewery wins Barnsley Business Awards 'business growth' category.  Unfortunately, Dave couldn't make it to the awards ceremony as he had already committed himself to a sampling mission in the Isle of Man, but thankfully, John Haig, of Gibson Booth Accountants, stepped into the breach.
